Job Description
We are searching for a creative and efficient Chef to manage our kitchen and food operations. This role is crucial for maintaining food quality, ensuring timely service, and managing kitchen inventory and hygiene. The Chef will be responsible for preparing all menu items, managing food preparation staff (if applicable), and contributing to menu development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prep, and execute all menu items to a consistently high standard.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Maintain rigorous standards of kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene (HACCP compliant).
- Ensure prompt and accurate execution of all food orders during service times.
- Collaborate with the management team on potential new menu items and cost control.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a commercial kitchen setting, preferably in a cafÊ or brunch environment.
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong culinary skills across various cooking methods. Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory management.
- Personal Attributes: Highly organized, efficient, creative, and a strong team leader with good communication skills.
