Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse specialized in Paediatrics to provide exceptional care to infants, children, and adolescents. This critical role involves delivering direct patient care, executing specialized clinical procedures, educating families, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Special Procedures

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to paediatric patients across various age groups, monitoring vital signs, and assessing patient conditions accurately.
• Demonstrate proficiency in paediatric IV cannulation and venipuncture, ensuring patient comfort and minimizing trauma during these procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens efficiently, adhering to laboratory protocols and infection control standards.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician, meticulously documenting all actions and patient responses.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, including paediatric code response and resuscitation.

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic health records (EHR) documentation of patient status, care provided, and interventions performed.
• Serve as a primary resource for patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medication management, and preventive care.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with physicians, specialists, parents/guardians, and other healthcare team members to coordinate holistic patient care.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to all infection control policies, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.
• Adhere strictly to all standards and regulations set forth by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and company policy.
• Advocate for the patient’s rights and emotional well-being throughout their care journey.

Qualifications and Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Licensure: Must possess current DHA Eligibility or License as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience: A minimum of [Insert Specific Years, e.g., 2-3 years] of recent, dedicated clinical experience in a Paediatrics Department (hospital or clinic setting).
• Skills: Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in specialized paediatric procedures, specifically IV cannulation and phlebotomy.

Preferred Attributes

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor when working with children and distressed families.
