Job Description
Gulf Model School is seeking an experienced and responsible Transport In-Charge to manage all facets of the school's transportation system. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in school transport management, ensuring safety, punctuality, and strict compliance with all RTA and KHDA regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily school transport operations, ensuring the timely and safe movement of students and staff.
- Manage, schedule, and monitor all bus routes, driver rosters, and conductor assignments.
- Coordinate directly with RTA, KHDA, and relevant authorities to ensure complete compliance with all school transport regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks, vehicle inspections, and arrange for timely maintenance and servicing of the bus fleet.
- Maintain accurate records of bus logs, student lists, driver/conductor documentation, and transport records.
- Handle parent queries related to transport routes, timings, and safety concerns professionally.
- Ensure all drivers and conductors follow school policy and strict safety protocols.
- Prepare detailed transport reports on operations and compliance for school management.
- Coordinate with the HR department for driver and conductor shifts, leaves, documentation, and renewals.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2â3 years of experience in school transport management is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of RTA / School Transport guidelines is essential.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a large team of drivers and conductors effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with quick decision-making ability.
- Good command of English (Arabic, Hindi, and Malayalam are added advantages).
- Must be professional, reliable, and safety-focused.
