About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations across Home Bakery subsidiaries in the Middle East, focusing on the general ledger and procure-to-pay cycles. Reporting to the Accounts Manager, this role is the senior-most position within the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Supervision: Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate maintenance of books and records.
• Prepare and submit monthly reporting packages at entity and group levels.
• Conduct cash flow forecasting and monthly variance analysis.
• Prepare financial statements and support audits to ensure statutory compliance.
• Procure-to-Pay Cycle: Act as procurement business partner and SAP PO key user, coordinating with department heads and financial controller for month-end accruals.
• Assist with VAT audits and returns.
• Review accounting systems and recommend improvements, including corporate income tax implementation.
• Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional Certification, such as CP, A, is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an accountant, preferably within the F&B sector or a similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and GAAP.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and quantitative skills.
• SAP knowledge; Arabic language skills are a plus.
