Job Description

The successful candidate will be the driving force behind curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will ensure academic consistency, support teaching staff with effective strategies, and promote best practices in teaching and learning to guarantee a high standard of academic rigor and student achievement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Leadership: Develop, implement, and rigorously review the entire school’s curriculum framework, ensuring full alignment with the guidelines and standards set by the CBSE and Kerala Board.
  • Alignment & Progression: Guarantee vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment across all grade levels and subjects to ensure seamless and effective learning progression for students.
  • Collaborative Coaching: Work closely with Section Heads, Supervisors, and Subject Coordinators to maintain academic rigor, internal coherence, and shared understanding of learning goals.
  • Instructional Guidance: Guide teachers in best practices for lesson planning, effective assessment strategies, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.
  • Monitoring & Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of teaching methodologies through observation and data analysis, and recommend significant improvements and interventions when necessary.
  • Professional Development: Design, coordinate, and conduct targeted teacher training and professional development sessions focused on curriculum delivery, assessment best practices, and innovative pedagogy.
  • 21st-Century Skills Integration: Support the effective integration of 21st-century skills, ICT tools, and innovative teaching methods directly into classroom instruction.
  • Academic Support: Assist in the preparation and review of all academic policies, timetables, and long-range and daily lesson plans.
  • Reporting & Communication: Maintain regular, clear communication with the Principal and senior management regarding curriculum updates and overall academic performance metrics.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience: Proven, extensive experience in curriculum development, coordination, and teacher training, preferably within a school following the CBSE and/or Kerala Board curriculum.
  • Education: A relevant post-graduate degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern pedagogical practices, assessment methodologies, and educational technology integration.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and mentor teaching staff effectively.
  • Vision: A passion for leading curriculum innovation and driving educational excellence.
