Sommelier

Roberto's is seeking a highly skilled Sommelier to join its luxury dining team. The role requires deep expertise in Italian, French, or Mediterranean service styles and the ability to deliver unparalleled guest memories through intuitive service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the restaurant's wine cellar, inventory, and procurement.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations to guests on wine and beverage pairings.
• Conduct wine service with precision and adherence to luxury dining standards.
• Maintain accurate beverage lists and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
• Mentor junior team members on wine knowledge and service techniques.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in luxury or fine dining (Michelin/star-level is a plus).
• Expertise in Italian, French, or Mediterranean service styles.
• Service intuition to anticipate rather than react to guest needs.
• Multilingual: English essential; Italian, French, Arabic, or Chinese desirable.
• WSET or equivalent certification is required for this specialist role.
