Coop House is hiring a Commis to work in the specialized Hot Section, Josper, or Robata stations, supporting the senior chefs in preparing high-quality dishes for the new Steakhouse. This role offers excellent exposure to specialized grilling and cooking techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs with mise en place, food preparation, and assigned cooking tasks in the designated section.
- Support the efficient operation of specialized equipment, such as the Josper oven or Robata grill.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards of the work station.
- Follow all instructions regarding plating, portion control, and food safety.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen is an advantage.
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn specialized grilling and high-heat techniques.
- Physical ability to work in a demanding hot kitchen environment.
