Job Description

The Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) is a junior supervisor, reporting to the Chef de Partie. This role requires foundational skills and the ability to manage a small section of the kitchen or assist the CDP in high-volume operations.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or equivalent entry-level position.
  • Education: Culinary school diploma or strong on-the-job training record.
  • Skills:
  • Proven ability to run a small station independently during service (e.g., preparing salads or cold starters).
  • Understanding of basic costing and portion control.
  • Ability to train and mentor Commis Chefs.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, hygiene, and kitchen organization.
