Role Overview

Are you a "Jack of all trades" with a keen eye for detail? Corniche Hotel Sharjah is looking for a Room Technician to maintain the flawless condition of our guest accommodations. This role is the backbone of our "Perfect Room" initiative, ensuring that every light, faucet, and piece of furniture is in peak condition for our arriving guests.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Room Audits: Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms (PPM - Planned Preventive Maintenance) to identify and fix issues before they affect the guest experience.
• Multi-Skilled Repairs: Perform minor plumbing (fixing leaks/clogs), electrical (replacing bulbs/sockets), and carpentry tasks (adjusting hinges/latches).
• Finishing Works: Handle minor touch-up painting, wallpaper repairs, and grouting to maintain the aesthetic standards of a luxury hotel.
• Rapid Response: Act as the first responder to guest "Maintenance Orders," resolving issues efficiently while maintaining a polite and helpful demeanor.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all room fixtures, including smoke detectors and emergency lighting, are fully functional and meet Sharjah safety regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Housekeeping and Front Office departments to prioritize room readiness for VIP arrivals.

Candidate Requirements

• Location: Must be currently inside the UAE.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Room Technician or Handyman in the hospitality industry is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of civil, electrical, and plumbing works.
• Soft Skills: Good communication skills in English; ability to interact professionally with international guests.
• Availability: Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
