Job Description

The Barista will report to the Outlet Manager and is responsible for delivering professional, detailed, and engaging beverage service, ensuring every guest experience exceeds expectations in our upscale, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to all guests.
  • Provide unique dining experiences to guests through warm, personal, and detailed service.
  • Have full knowledge of all beverage lists, promotions, and all menu items, including garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
  • Actively participate in the development of new and innovative beverage concepts for the Γ  la carte menu and monthly promotions.
  • Follow all outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Always take corrective action if service errors occur, ensuring all solutions exceed the guest's expectation.
  • Promote and maintain a positive working relationship with all colleagues.
  • Fully understand and follow the hotel’s safety, sanitation, and recycling programs and procedures.
  • Ensure an excellent first impression by practicing impeccable personal hygiene and cleanliness of the outlet.
  • Be flexible in availability for changing shifts according to the demand of the business.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous Barista experience required.
  • Previous Point of Sale (POS) system experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
