Job Description
The Bellman is the crucial first and last point of contact for our guests, responsible for providing a gracious welcome and departure while ensuring the smooth and secure handling of luggage and vehicles. This role requires exceptional courtesy, efficiency, and knowledge of the resort and city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and assist them in/out of vehicles by opening doors in a gracious and courteous manner, extending particular assistance to children, the elderly, and disabled guests.
- Handle guestsβ luggage promptly and professionally, using safe handling techniques for loading/unloading from vehicles and transporting items to the lobby or rooms.
- Ensure all luggage is correct by confirming the number of loaded/unloaded pieces with the guest before the vehicle departs.
- Inform guests of vehicle parking procedures and direct Valet Parkers as necessary, assisting them in issuing valet tickets.
- Direct the flow of traffic at hotel driveways, ensuring maximum safety and coordinating with security for strict implementation of safety procedures.
- Be knowledgeable about hotel facilities, promotions, activities, and happenings in the hotel/city to provide accurate information to guests.
- Attend review of the daily event sheet with the Bell Captain and be familiar with regular guests.
- Respond to queries positively and report βLost & Foundβ items.
