Job Summary

This position is for a dedicated Butler responsible for providing an extensive array of highly personalized, friendly, and caring services to Hotel guests. The core objective is to ensure every guest's stay is pleasant and memorable, adhering strictly to Kempinski’s high standards and LQA (Luxury Quality Assurance) protocols.

The Butler acts as a single point of contact, providing seamless coordination across multiple departments including Front Office, Room Service, and Housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

1. Personalized Guest Services

  • Arrival & Departure Protocol:
  • Welcome and escort VIP guests upon their arrival outside their assigned room.
  • After check-in, introduce themselves, explain room and hotel facilities, and offer assistance for the duration of the stay.
  • Coordinate luggage handling with the Concierge to ensure safe and timely delivery for both arriving and departing guests.
  • At times, perform check-in and check-out procedures in a friendly and caring manner according to standards.
  • In-Stay Services:
  • Be constantly available to provide assistance for any matter related to the guest's comfort.
  • Offer personalized services such as shoe shining, packing and unpacking luggage, and collecting/delivering laundry and dry cleaning.
  • Provide a personalized wake-up service to the room, including tea or coffee as requested.
  • Ensure daily services like newspaper delivery are executed efficiently.
  • VIP Amenities: Coordinate with Room Service for the delivery of fruit amenities for VIP guests, prepare the VIP fruit baskets, and ensure they are replenished daily until the guest's departure.

2. Communication & Coordination

  • Guest Queries: Answer all guest requests and questions promptly and professionally (in person or by telephone), providing information or referring matters to the relevant person/department.
  • Knowledge Base: Keep abreast of all hotel promotions, product knowledge, VIP arrivals, and upcoming events to competently answer any guest inquiries.
