Pharmacist

The Pharmacist is responsible for the professional and accurate dispensing of medications, providing comprehensive medication therapy management (MTM), and offering expert counsel to patients and healthcare professionals. This role ensures the pharmacy operates in full compliance with the standards set by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and other relevant regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Dispensing

• Accurate Dispensing: Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately, ensuring the correct dosage, formulation, and labeling for all medications.
• Patient Counseling: Provide thorough and clear counseling to patients regarding drug interactions, side effects, proper usage, and adherence to their prescribed medication regimens.
• Health Promotion: Engage patients in preventative health and wellness discussions, offering advice on over-the-counter (OTC) products and supplements.
• Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and resolve complex medication issues.

Regulatory Compliance & Operations

• Licensing Compliance: Maintain a high level of compliance with all DHA and local pharmaceutical regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Inventory Management: Oversee and manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, stocking, and secure storage of medications, paying special attention to controlled substances.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the pharmacy environment meets stringent sanitation and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm), or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) qualification.
• Licensure: Must possess a valid DHA License or a current DHA Eligibility Letter to practice pharmacy in Dubai.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with a diverse patient population and healthcare team.
• Knowledge: Strong, up-to-date pharmaceutical knowledge and a dedicated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
