Steel Fixer

TAMAS Projects is hiring professional Steel Fixers for the reinforcement work on our infrastructure and public utility projects in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The successful candidate will be instrumental in assembling and installing the steel reinforcement bars (rebar) that provide the foundation for our concrete structures.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: At least 2 years of recent work experience in the GCC region is mandatory.
• Skill Set: Proven ability to cut, bend, and tie steel reinforcement bars according to engineering drawings and schedules.
• Blueprint Reading: Basic ability to read and understand bar bending schedules and structural blueprints.
• Physicality: Must be physically fit and willing to work extended hours outdoors in a construction site environment, including under direct sun.
• Visa: Visa is provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine the quantity, size, and location of steel reinforcement.
• Cut and bend steel bars using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Assemble and tie rebar cages and meshes in foundations, columns, beams, and slabs.
• Ensure steelwork is securely positioned and supported before concrete pouring.
