We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to oversee a specific section of the kitchen operation. The CDP is responsible for managing their designated station, including preparation, cooking, organization, and training of Commis Chefs. This role requires technical culinary expertise, leadership potential, and the ability to maintain consistency and quality under pressure.
- Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all food preparation and culinary execution within the assigned kitchen station (e.g., sauces, pastry, grill).
- Ensure all dishes leaving the station meet the Head Chef's quality and presentation standards.
- Lead and train junior kitchen staff (Commis Chefs) in station procedures and techniques.
- Manage food stock for the station, minimizing wastage and ordering supplies as needed.
- Enforce strict sanitation and safety protocols within the work area.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
- Advanced cooking skills and comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques.
- Leadership ability and strong organizational skills for station management.
