We are looking for an energetic Commis Chef to work in the fast-paced Hot Section of the kitchen. This role involves assisting with the preparation and cooking of all hot dishes, ensuring they are executed according to the Head Chef's specifications. You must be able to handle high pressure, high-volume service periods efficiently.
- Responsibilities:
- Carry out preparation tasks (mise en place) for the Hot Section, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning ingredients.
- Cook and assemble hot dishes under the direction of the Chef de Partie.
- Ensure the Hot Section is clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee food quality and safety.
- Assist in receiving and storing kitchen deliveries.
- Requirements:
- Basic experience in a professional, high-volume kitchen.
- Understanding of cooking methods such as sautΓ©ing, frying, and grilling.
- Ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively during service.
