Hostess

The Hostess is the vital first and last impression of the restaurant. This role requires a warm, professional presence and a high degree of organizational skill to manage the guest flow, reservations, and waiting lists, ensuring a smooth start to every dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Welcome: Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and thank them graciously upon departure.
• Seating Management: Efficiently manage the reservation system and waitlist, controlling the flow of the dining room to maximize table turns and server rotation.
• Information & Communication: Answer phone calls professionally, handle reservation inquiries, and relay important guest information (allergies, special occasions) to the management and server teams.
• Seating Execution: Escort guests to their assigned tables, ensuring a comfortable seating experience and presenting the menu.
• Aesthetics: Maintain the immaculate cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the host stand, entryway, and waiting areas.

Required Skills & Experience

• Prior experience as a Hostess, preferably in a high-end or fine dining establishment.
• Exceptional Communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished, professional demeanor.
• Organizational Prowess: Ability to manage complex seating plans and multitask effectively under pressure.
• Familiarity with modern reservation software (e.g., OpenTable, Resy, etc.) and phone etiquette.
• Strong ability to maintain composure and problem-solve in busy situations.
