Electrical Engineer

Royal Gas, a leading provider in the gas systems industry, is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our technical team in Dubai. This full-time role focuses specifically on the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical control panels and safety systems for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) installations.

The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge in hazardous area classification, control circuit troubleshooting, and ensuring strict compliance with international (ATEX / IECEx) and local (Dubai Civil Defense) safety regulations.

Core Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Design & Drafting: Design and prepare detailed electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and control schematics for LPG control panels and gas system installations.
• System Programming: Perform wiring, testing, and commissioning of control panels, including both Manual / Auto and PLC-based systems.
• Component Selection: Select appropriate electrical components such as breakers, contactors, relays, sensors, level switches, and solenoid valves, ensuring they meet project specifications.
• Integration: Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and commissioning teams for the seamless and smooth integration of LPG systems.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all electrical works adhere strictly to ATEX / IECEx safety regulations related to hazardous areas.
• Ensure full compliance with Dubai Civil Defense (DCD) requirements for all LPG systems.
• Testing & Support:
• Monitor earthing, cable sizing, and perform load calculations for both control and power circuits.
• Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of LPG panels.
• Provide technical support for Building Management System (BMS) integration and remote monitoring systems.
• Documentation: Prepare as-built drawings, test reports, and operation manuals for systems.
• Maintenance: Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems and LPG equipment during both installation and after-sales handover.

Mandatory Candidate Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of specialized experience in LPG Control Panels or related gas system installations.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Proficiency in electrical design and panel assembly.
• Expertise in control circuit troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of hazardous area classification.
• High safety and compliance awareness, especially regarding ATEX / IECEx standards.
• General: Proven ability to coordinate with consultants and authorities, along with experience in documentation and reporting.
• Mobility: A valid UAE Driving License is preferred.
