Job Description

Karani Group, a leading firm in construction and interior fit-out projects in Dubai, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to be an essential support for our Engineering and Project Management teams.

This role is critical for ensuring smooth project execution from the office to the site, managing all technical documentation, coordination logistics, and procurement support. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive professional ready for immediate joining.

Core Responsibilities and Project Support

  • Documentation Control: Take charge of all project documentation, including preparing, tracking, and distributing technical drawings, submittals, and periodic progress reports.
  • Coordination Hub: Act as the central communication link, efficiently coordinating requests and information flow between site supervisors, the design team, and the procurement/logistics department.
  • Procurement & Cost Support: Assist engineers in preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material request lists, and supporting documentation for procurement.
  • Site Assistance: Provide logistical and technical support for site supervision activities, ensuring that interior fit-out and civil works adhere to specifications and project timelines.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive project files, track project milestones, and ensure all internal records and external documentation comply strictly with company and regulatory standards.

Mandatory Candidate Requirements

  • Education: A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related Construction field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of practical experience working on construction, engineering, or interior fit-out projects.
  • Software Skills: Strong proficiency in standard office productivity tools (MS Office Suite) and professional drafting software (AutoCAD).
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Availability: Must be ready for Immediate Joining.

Preferred Qualifications (Competitive Edge)

  • Demonstrated experience with UAE-based construction or interior companies, particularly in the Al Quoz area.
  • Working knowledge of relevant Project Management Software (e.g., Primavera, Trello) or dedicated Document Control Systems.
  • Possession of a Valid UAE Driving License (highly advantageous for site coordination duties).
