Job Description
The Document Controller is responsible for managing the accurate, timely, and confidential flow of all official business and client documentation. This role ensures that all documents are properly cataloged, stored, and retrieved in compliance with internal and external regulations, maintaining the integrity of our records system.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Management System: Implement and maintain a systematic and efficient document control system (physical and electronic).
- Processing & Filing: Control the numbering, sorting, filing, storage, and retrieval of both internal and client-facing documents.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor document submission deadlines and verify document completeness and compliance before submission to clients or government entities.
- Archiving: Manage the secure archival and destruction process for obsolete documents.
- Support: Provide necessary document assistance and information retrieval support to the operations team as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in document control, administration, or office management, preferably within a corporate service or government-related field.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Specific Criteria (As per Company Preference): Female candidates are required for this role, and candidates of Sri Lankan nationality are strongly preferred.
