Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Assistant Nurse (LDR) to support our Labor & Delivery team in providing high-quality care to expectant mothers, new mothers, and newborns. The Assistant Nurse will work under the supervision of registered nurses, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment throughout the childbirth process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses and midwives with patient admission, monitoring, and care during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and fetal heart rate.
• Prepare delivery rooms, equipment, and surgical instruments for procedures.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
• Assist in newborn care, including initial assessments, measurements, and basic hygiene.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness, sterilization, and safety of rooms and equipment.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly and effectively to patient needs.

Requirements

• General Nursing degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Nurse, preferably in a labor and delivery or maternity ward.
• Valid DHA license or eligibility for Assistant Nurse.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, patient confidentiality, and hospital procedures.
