Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sonographer to join our Radiology Department in Dubai. The role involves performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations and delivering high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate medical evaluation. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, highly skilled, and hold a valid DHA license or eligibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diverse ultrasound scans including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, gynecological, vascular, and small parts as per physician’s orders.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce clear, precise images.
• Review patient history and prior imaging studies to ensure correct protocols are followed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns with care and empathy.
• Record and document technical findings, imaging results, and patient data accurately.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and hospital safety standards.
• Work in close collaboration with radiologists and healthcare teams to support timely diagnoses.
• Contribute to departmental quality assurance initiatives and professional development.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies and ethical practices.
• Support the training and mentorship of junior staff when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter (mandatory).
• Proficiency in conducting a broad range of ultrasound examinations.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Skilled in operating ultrasound machines and using HIS/PACS systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment with high attention to detail.
