📌 Job Description

Melia Desert Palm, a luxurious urban resort and member of The Melia Collection, is seeking a Bartender to join its Food & Beverage team. The resort features private villas, equestrian-themed amenities, world-class Samana Spa, wellness facilities, and multiple dining options.

The Bartender will provide exceptional beverage service to guests, maintain bar operations, and ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve drinks according to standard recipes.
• Offer a warm and professional welcome and farewell to all guests.
• Greet clients politely, introducing yourself as their server.
• Check guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar, tables, and work areas.
• Monitor and maintain bar stock according to established standards.
• Take accurate drink orders, suggest specials, and upsell to increase sales.
• Serve drinks promptly, resolving any guest dissatisfaction professionally.
• Handle payment procedures according to hotel policies.
• Participate in shift briefings and departmental meetings.
• Follow hotel policies on discipline, presentation, working hours, and safety.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

🎯 Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Bartender or in a similar role.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Attentive, patient, and detail-oriented when serving guests.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
