Hostess

The Hostess is the face and first impression of the restaurant. This role is responsible for warmly welcoming all guests, managing the reservation book and seating flow, and ensuring the front-of-house area is clean and welcoming at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Welcome: Greet all guests with a warm, professional demeanor upon arrival and manage their departure.
• Reservation Management: Organize and manage the reservation system and waitlist, efficiently controlling the flow of the dining room to maximize seating while minimizing guest wait times.
• Seating Coordination: Escort guests to their tables, ensuring proper table settings and rotation among servers.
• Communication: Answer phone calls professionally, handle reservation inquiries, and coordinate closely with the management and server teams.
• Front-of-House Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entryway, and waiting areas.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Hostess, preferably in a high-end or fine dining establishment.
• Exceptional Communication Skills and a pleasant, professional telephone manner.
• Organizational Prowess: Ability to manage complex seating plans and reservations under pressure.
• High Standards for personal presentation and front-of-house aesthetics.
• Familiarity with reservation software (e.g., OpenTable, Resy, etc.) is highly desirable.
