Junior Accountant

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance department in Dubai. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity of our general ledger and ensuring accurate financial reporting for several portfolio companies within our group.
• Roles & Responsibilities:
• Ledger Maintenance: Perform all accounting functions required to maintain the general ledger in strict compliance with IFRS Standards and company policies.
• Accounts Management: Process daily invoices, bills, and journal entries for accounts payable and receivable; manage weekly check runs and monthly accruals.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to generate monthly trend reports and perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure total statement accuracy.
• Tax & Compliance: Research and ensure full compliance with all local and state tax requirements.
• Asset Oversight: Oversee fixed asset tracking and perform necessary monthly depreciation reconciliations.
• Audit & Reporting: Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities; assist outside auditors by gathering required documentation for annual audits.
• Systems Usage: Utilize SAP software for efficient financial data entry, processing, and reporting.
• Candidate Profile:
• Minimum 3 years of solid accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and specialized accounting software.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across various teams.
